Position Details:

  • Title: Speech Language Pathologist

  • Working Hours: 40 hours weekly from Monday to Friday

  • Case Load:

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and remediate communicative disorders.
  • Complete case study evaluations and determine eligibility.
  • Understand and apply IEP policies and procedures including IDEA rules and regulations.
  • Participate as a problemsolving team member.
  • Provide direct instruction and/or consultation with assistive technology devices.
  • Collaborate with other related services providers for cotreatment whenever appropriate.
  • Maintain documentation and detailed data for students served.
  • Communicate effectively with parents staff and administration.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in the area of Speech/Language Pathology.
  • Illinois Professional Educator License with Speech Language Pathology endorsement.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Efficient time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative problemsolving skills and flexibility.
  • Proficiency with the interconnection between literacy skills and communication skills.
  • Proficient with assessment data collection and evaluation processes.
  • Competence with IDEA rules/regulations and IL procedural requirements.
