Position Summary: Our client is looking for an experienced asphalt paving crew that has at least combined total of 2 years of operatingand/or performing the following: paving screed raking and shovelling. The successful candidate shall also have a valid drivers license with a clean record.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
  
• Perform and monitor Paving Operations for depth yield cross slope and density compliance.
  
• Ensure crew and trucks operate efficiently determining asphalt tonnage and mix type.
  
• Maintain and clean assigned equipment reporting necessary repairs promptly.
  
• Park equipment safely following clear zone requirements
  
• Ensure all equipment is fueled and filled with water at the end of each shift.
  
• Complete Daily Equipment Condition Reports and submit them daily.
  

Requirements/Qualifications:

• 2 years of demonstrable industryrelated experience required with an emphasis on asphalt paving activities.
  
• An understanding of the road construction industry and the ability to work under deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  
• Understanding of OSHA regulations pertaining to road construction and asphalt operations
  
• Capable of heavy lifting climbing balancing stooping kneeling crawling crouching and reaching
  
• Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.
  
• Able to work outdoors with periodic exposure to environment with high levels of noise grease and dust that is typically associated with a construction project.
  
• Demonstrates strong leadership abilities and excels as a collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  
• High attention to detail quality craftsmanship and a safetyfocused mindset
  
• Adaptive to different personalities and management styles
