Position: Assistant Accounts Officer

Location: Surulere Lagos

The Assistant Accountant Officer will support the Accountant in completing basic bookkeeping clerical and accounting tasks for the organization.

Job Description

Processing of School bills after audit check.

Assisting with bank errands.

Data entry and reconciliation both offline and online.

Filing of documents.

Assisting to administer petty cash when the accountant is not around.

Assisting with audit and fact checking.

Assisting with the management of school fee payments and reconciliations.

Provide support to the accounts department.

Processing of various payments for the foundation.

Posting of data on QuickBooks software

Any other assigned duties

Requirements and skills

• HND/BSc in relevant accounting discipline and a minimum of 1 year post NYSC experience
  
• Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
  
• Competency in MS Excel databases accounts reconciliation and accounting software like QuickBooks
  
• Handson experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
  
• Accuracy and attention to detail
  
• Aptitude for numbers
  
• Ability to perform filing and recordkeeping tasks
