Job Description

Our client is a distributor of twowheeler and threewheeler products. They have branches across Nigeria. They provide the most popular range of motorcycles tricycles genuine spares tires lubricants and unfaltering after sales service. Due to expansion they are currently in need of an AREA SALES MANAGER

LOCATION: Abuja Yola Sokoto Kaduna and Asaba

JOB SUMMARY: The Area Sales Manager (ASM) in the lubricant industry is responsible for overseeing sales operations meeting targets and managing the sales team within a designated geographical area. The ASM ensures effective execution of sales strategies builds and maintains strong customer relationships and drives revenue growth.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and implement sales plans to achieve targets and expand the customer base.
  • Analyze market trends and competitors to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Coordinate with the Regional Sales Manager to set sales goals and objectives.
  • Conduct regular visits to customers and prospects to promote products and services.
  • Monitor and manage the sales pipeline to ensure steady progression towards sales targets.
  • Prepare and present sales reports forecasts and performance metrics to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in sales operations.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned area.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align sales strategies with market needs.
  • Manage the sales budget for the assigned area ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
  • Track and control expenses to stay within budgetary limits.
  • Propose and implement costeffective sales strategies.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 35 years of sales experience in the lubricant industry or a related field with at least 23 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Frequent travel within the designated area.
