Production Operative

Our client is currently looking for a full time Production Operative to work for a local factory in Corby.

Position:

Production Operative.

Responsible to:

Production Supervisor.

Job Overview:

A Production Operatives duty is to work in a factory environment within a team or independently. Within your role you will be in control of the manufacturing machine process. This involves but is not limited to; filling mixing blending the adhesive batches and packaging tasks ready to be dispatched.

Tasks

Key Responsibilities:

I. Operate a variety of mixing and blending equipment.

II. Monitor the production process.

III. Ensure machinery is cleaned out and refilled correctly.

IV. Ensure all raw materials are accurately picked and returned to correct locations and ensure any electronic transactions are accurately completed. Report any stock location discrepancies to your line manager / supervisor.

V. Ensure the product is packaged and labelled correctly in time to be dispatched.

VI. Store finished goods in the appropriate locations and ensure associated electronic records are accurately completed.

VII. Safely move goods by hand or by operating an industrial powered truck (forklift).

VIII. Make sure your working area is kept clean and tidy.

IX. Make sure the paperwork is completed and stored correctly.

X. To comply with all the companys policies and procedures to ensure safety quality and services are met to the required standards.

XI. Report any discrepancies and machinery breakdowns to line manager/ supervisors

XII. Respond to warning signals and alarms that indicate issues and take all necessary precautions to prevent accident and injuries.

XIII. Ensure that your working area is tidied up with all rubbish removed at the end of the day /each shift.

XIV. Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers respectfully and effectively.

XV. Flexible approach to evolving working patterns and to take on extra duties as required.

XVI. Take an active role in root cause analyses exercises.
