Inventory Clerk

1. Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining a clean efficient and effective storeroom operation by following procedures to receive unpack inventory store (as necessary) and account for supplies and equipment.

• Assist in receiving packing lists for stock items.

• Contribute to an accidentfree work environment by keeping the Stores area clean neat orderly and free of clutter and debris; properly storing and handling hazardous materials solvents and chemicals; following the operators manual for storage and use

• Assist other departments as needed.

• Maintaining and updating inventory stock records

• Monitoring inventory levels and usage

• Conducting regular inventory stock counts

• Reporting on variances in stock levels

• Generating POs for approval

• Receipting and despatching of stock maintaining processes documentation

• Updating inventory systems

• Specify the physical location of all the samples and supplies

• Track and followup the quantity of remaining supplies backorders etc and receive notifications when a stock is running low

• Track expiration dates on materials

Requirements:

Matric

At least 2 years experience
