Job Summary and Qualifications

The role of the Nursing Manager Emergency Services assures service growth development personnel management and resource allocation and management controls in order to ensure consistent highquality patient care in the Emergency Department.


What you will do in this role:


Administers plans and evaluates the activities of the department(s) to ensure quality patient care.
Develops goals policies and procedures prepares and submits operating and capital budgets participates in multidisciplinary QI teams consults with staff physicians and other departments as needed.
Manages staffing patterns with the assistance of Assistant Nurse Managers and the House Supervisors on a shifttoshift basis. Follows policies and procedures. Participates in the Quality Improvement process and adheres to facility standards of behavior

What qualifications you will need:

Florida RN licensure required
Associates Degree required Bachelors Degree preferred
3 years of RECENT ACUTE CARE hospital experience in the ER and at least 2 years of RECENT leadership experience in the ER. Ideally Assistant Nurse Manager/Manager candidates.
Advanced Cardiac Life Spt or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
Basic Cardiac Life Support or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt or PALS Instructor must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
