Housekeeper

Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced Housekeeper for a residence located in West Vancouver. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the residence. This position is fulltime liveout Monday to Friday 9am5pm with flexibility required for the occasional weekend or evening.

Candidate Profile:

You are a calm experienced housekeeping professional who enjoys keeping a clean and organized home. You have a strong understanding of household hygiene cleaning best practices and a good eye for detail. You are comfortable working in a home with a family including a baby two dogs and other household employees.

Primary Responsibilities:

Daily housekeeping to include dusting vacuuming kitchen and bathroom cleaning washing floors

Maintain household inventory prepare household inventory checklists

Daily laundry occasional ironing and steaming follow washing instructions and principal preferences for certain fabrics

Closet and pantry organization

Trash and recycling management

Errands including but not limited to grocery shopping dry cleaning dropping off packages etc.

Special projects include but not limited to quarterly deep cleans weekly fridge clean out household cupboard reorganization

Assist with feeding and preparing the dogs for walks

Other duties as required from time to time

Applicant Qualities:

Must be able to work and communicate from a place of calmness; the house is meant to be a mindful sanctuary

Must have 3 years of previous experience working in a private residence

Excellent housekeeping laundry and ironing skills; correct use of products and methods for fine finishes and surfaces

Must have excellent organizational skills with an ability to manage your time and weekly list of responsibilities with minimal oversight

Must have strong communication skills; succinctly and clearly communicate important updates and suggestions using the familys preferred method of communication

Must be reliable maintain a consistent work schedule and show up on time for fully scheduled shifts

Must be able to respect the familys desire for privacy and space; the family will be home often working from home during most of your scheduled shifts

Must be proactive and anticipate needs before they arise; actively look for ways to stay ahead

Must maintain confidentiality at all times

Must be service oriented with excellent English language skills

Must be comfortable working around children and dogs

Must have a valid driver s license

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Basic meal preparation is considered an asset but not necessary
