Your tasks
Lead establishing an operations team comprised of internal and external employees
Establish and later on champion processes for incident problem and change management within the Data Product Line in close collaboration with the Operations team of the EDP program
Release & operations management: Oversee and proactively manage internal and external dependencies together with architects product management and delivery to minimize operational impact.
Delivery support: Collaborate and validate with the Product Delivery Manager the readiness phase of products prior operationalization within the data product area.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA team members implement and enforce quality assurance measures to ensure the high quality of delivered products and services.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements efficiency enhancements and skill development within the infrastructure compute & storage delivery teams.
Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks that may impact service quality ensuring smooth operations.

Must have competences
Ability to work collaboratively in crossfunctional teams adapting to agile and DevOps methodologies for software development
Exceptional troubleshooting and problemsolving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and sustainable solutions
Proficiency in both speech and writing in English (at least C1)
Proficiency in both speech and writing in German (at least B1)
Ability to work independently and take initiative in identifying and addressing technical challenges
Contribute towards shaping the operationalization of CI/CD and IaC/gitOps processes
Contribute towards the development of the data services focus on reliability & stability
At least of 5 years of operational experience with productive applications or systems (ideally containerized and distributed)
Thorough knowledge of containerization and container management packaging of applications and customization of deployments
Experience with the usage of observability tools
Experience with operations of various relational and nonrelational data technologies (e.g. PostgreSQL Kafka Neo4J etc.)
Experience with automation and infrastructure as code and/or gitOps

Nice to have competences
Experience with operating services on top of Kubernetes
Experience with operations in hyperscalers (GCP and others)
Good understanding of networking concepts including protocols load balancing and security
Knowledge of ITSM frameworks
