As a Database Assistant SQL Server DBA you will:
- Handle tickets raised by functional technical and business users.
- Manage alerts raised by the monitoring system for SQL Server databases and related components.
- Perform installations of Microsoft SQL Server products.
- Conduct upgrades and migrations of Microsoft SQL Server products.
- Install Critical Patch Updates for Microsoft SQL Server databases and related components.
- Implement the defined backup strategy and regularly verify the recovery plans validity.
- Develop scripts and procedures to automate repetitive tasks.
- Maintain the databases technical documentation and inventory.
- Follow defined change and configuration management procedures.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Experience in installing Microsoft SQL Server RDBMS 2016 or higher.
- Experience in administering Microsoft SQL Server RDBMS 2016 or higher.
- Experience in applying Microsoft SQL Server Cumulative Updates.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server Failover Cluster.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server Failover Cluster Instance (FCI).
- Strong technical engineering skills adaptive to customer needs and able to work in a team.
- Experience in installing and managing SQL Server Reporting Server and Analysis Server.
- Experience in query performance tuning in Microsoft SQL Server RDBMS.
- Good understanding of Microsoft SQL Server architecture and concepts.
You Should Possess the Ability to:
