We are seeking a parttime Janitor / Caretaker for one of our partner Schools in the Bexley DA5 area.

Hours of work are 6.30am 12.30pm Monday to Friday (20 hours per week)

The School Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean safe and orderly environment for students staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will be diligent reliable and have a strong attention to detail. This role is crucial to ensuring the school facilities are in optimal condition and meet health and safety standards.

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping mopping vacuuming dusting and sanitizing surfaces in classrooms restrooms hallways and common areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners; ensure proper disposal of waste.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms replenish supplies such as soap paper towels and toilet paper.
• Wash windows walls and fixtures as needed.
• Ensure all doors and windows are locked and secure after hours.
• Identify and report maintenance or repair needs to the Facilities Manager.
• Respond promptly to emergency cleaning requests or situations.
• Maintain school grounds including sweeping sidewalks removing debris and ensuring safe walkways.
• Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal leaf raking and lawn care.
