Under general direction our client is seeking to hire a fulltime IMSA & NEC certified Electrician for various Traffic Signal Maintenance projects in Northern California. The Electrician will be expected to work on Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) related projects. Specific types of work include conducting Preventative Maintenance checks and repairs on Traffic Signals Flashing Beacons Solar Radar Feedback signs Street Lighting and other electrical components as required by the customer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Willingness and capability to work on traffic signals streetlights and other Intelligent Transportation Equipment using a bucket truck.
- Inspect install and maintain electrical components.
- Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices such as traffic signal circuits cabinets transformers circuit breakers services streetlight luminaires CCTV and communications equipment.
- Terminate and splice Fiber Optic cable in various mediums.
- Repair or replace wiring equipment or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
- Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code.
- Perform the duties as a fiber splicer as a part of the construction of telecommunications outside the plant to ensure the scope of work performed is within standards required by customer
- Splice overhead or underground multiple conductor cables with guidance.
- Utilize truckmounted liftbucket or descend into underground vaults
- Cut sheath from installed cable to gain access to defective cable connections as well as cut and peel sheath and insulation from newly installed cable and conductors
- Test (traces or phase out) each conductor to identify corresponding conductors in adjoining cables using a test lamp or bell system
- Read and interpret (i.e. mechanical electrical digital) drawings maps blueprints diagrams etc
- Ensure that all splicing operations are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications
- Perform other splicingrelated duties as assigned
- Performs other duties as required and assigned.
- Will work on the D10 project then move as needed to SSF
- Current/Active NEC Certification (Required).
- Experience in Fiber Optic splicing termination and installation. Knowledge of utilizing fiber optic splicing equipment and splicing methodologies.
- Must have one or more years of experience as a fiber splicer with experience on outside plant or system installations while working from blueprints specifications and system documentation
- Corning Fiber Optic certification or equivalent.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Must have a valid standard Driver's License
- Ability to exert moderate physical effort typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing stooping kneeling crouching and which may involve some lifting carrying pushing and/ or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 50 pounds)
- C10 Electrical contractors license preferred but not required.
Business Travel and Hours:
- 100% travel to project locations and company facilities across the various counties within the San Francisco Bay Area and Stockton.
- Some or all hours may be during the 3rd shift.
