Job Description

Position Title: Communications Associate

Location: Denver CO

Department: Communications

Reports To: Communications Manager

Employment Type: FullTime

Job Summary:

The Communications Associate will support the Communications Department in executing internal and external communication strategies. This role involves content creation media relations social media management and coordination of communication projects to ensure consistent and effective messaging that aligns with our brand and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Media Relations:

    • Build and maintain relationships with media contacts.
    • Draft and distribute press releases and media advisories.
    • Monitor media coverage and compile media reports.
  • Social Media Management:

    • Manage and grow the company’s social media presence across platforms (e.g. Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Instagram).
    • Create and schedule engaging posts monitor interactions and respond to comments and messages.
    • Analyze social media metrics and adjust strategies to improve engagement and reach.
  • Internal Communications:

    • Assist in the development and distribution of internal communications materials such as emails newsletters and announcements.
    • Support employee engagement initiatives and internal events.
  • Project Coordination:

    • Coordinate communication projects and campaigns from inception to completion.
    • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
    • Assist in organizing and promoting company events and initiatives.
  • Administrative Support:

    • Maintain and update media contact lists and other databases.
    • Provide administrative support to the Communications Manager and department as needed.
    • Assist with the preparation of presentations and reports.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and content management systems.
  • Basic graphic design and video editing skills are a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
