Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Strategic Focus
To meet SLA all the time with agreed quality with counterpart maintain good working relationships with colleagues collaborate with others to achieve the teams goals.
- Manage the daytoday tasks of the application support team in Mumbai.
- Support BAU Activities for inhouse and onpremises applications.
- Troubleshooting problemsolving investigations RCA and resolution of daytoday reported applications issues.
- Providing technical support for business applications tools and technologies.
- Support monitoring tools job scheduling tools and bug tracker tools.
- Providing sql/oracle database support for associated applications.
- providing appropriate status reporting and updates as requested by the Team Lead/Line/Project/Change Manager.
Operational Management
- Assist in maintaining Data Quality and Data Integrity
- Adopt and apply best practice approaches for the operating environment.
- Effective monitoring system status alerts and escalation where appropriate.
- Perform project and system health checks.
- Raise change controls for defects as required.
- Evaluate software suitability and viability to determine its usefulness in addressing the needs of group.
- Documentation of procedures and processes.
- Participate in after hours and weekend support.
People Leadership
- To be a mentor to the new joiners or colleagues who need assistance.
- Work collaboratively across the firm to achieve the Goals of the team / company.
Governance & Risk
- To assist with query handling quality error analysis identify root cause and help with solutions to close the gaps.
- Help resolving Information Security Corrective actions.
- Develop and Maintain Documentation related to support process.
- Raising security issues and breaches to Manager.
- Report to Management of any issues that may impact the Business.
- Maintain awareness and champion ITIL best practices.
- Adhere to all Groups standards policies and procedures
Experience & Personal Attributes
- Minimum 5 years experience in application support.
- Handson experience with SQL Server SQL queries joins Oracle database.
- Basic knowledge on Azure cloud concept.
- Knowledge on working ticketing tool like Jira.
- Knowledge working on job scheduling tool and monitoring tool.
- Must have a strong team focus and be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Experience with knowledge database confluence.
- Strong problemsolving skills investigation and resolution of data related problems.
- Excellent analytical troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
- Availability to provide afterhours support.
- Availability to support the oncall rota.
