Job Description

As an Associate Risk Analyst you will be an essential member of our client s Risk Analyst Team within the Vendor Services department. In this role you will be responsible for successfully learning to assess and interpret technical and legal regulatory information. Your efforts will be crucial in ensuring accurate analysis and adherence to compliance standards.

Your Path to Risk Management Mastery

Employment type: Fulltime

Shift: 8pm 5am MY time and semi flexi to 6pm 10am MY time

Work Setup: Remote/Work from Home (Malaysia)

Key Duties for Risk Mitigation Success

  • Progress through a structured training program with defined phases incorporating feedback while learning new concepts and becoming familiar with standardized templates company systems and software.
  • Develop a basic understanding of regulatory requirements for service provider oversight applicable to financial institutions including due diligence documentation and ongoing monitoring to meet compliance standards.
  • Learn fundamental concepts and definitions related to legal regulatory and industry best practices for the security confidentiality privacy availability and integrity of client/customer confidential data primarily within the financial industry.
  • Conduct independent internet research to supplement vendor due diligence documentation provided by clients and/or vendors.
  • Learn to interpret and document vendor strengths and issues related to regulatory compliance and industry best practices.
  • Acquire and apply knowledge to interpret condense draft summarize and edit complex technical and legal regulatory information into a clear professionally written format that meets the objectives for financial clients and regulatory entities while ensuring consistency with standardized formatting language and grammatical style guidelines.

Competencies/Personality Traits

  • Advanced skills in drafting and composing documents and reports with a critical focus on independent composition grammar and punctuation.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to learn quickly ask questions and incorporate constructive feedback from trainers.
  • Effective communication skills both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to conduct independent internet research.
  • Ability to work at a computer for 8 hours a day.

Prior Experience

  • Experience in English or legal writing/composition.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in a related field preferred (e.g. English Criminal Justice History).
  • Advanced coursework in English or legal writing/composition preferred.
