Responsibilities:

• Provides advice on the testing strategy test plans the selection of testing tools and the identification of resources required for testing Plans and organizes testing efforts for large systems in Graphical User Interface (GUI) and nonGraphical User Interface (GUI) environments including the execution of systems integration tests specialized tests and user acceptance testing (e.g. stress tests).
  
• The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for the development of test plans test scripts and test cases and executing these against the various components.
  
• The tester will work with the testing lead and IT lead of each project as well as the project team members in the analysis design development implementation and ongoing support of the required systems.
  
  

Experience and Skill Set Requirements

General Skills:

• Demonstrated experience in planning organizing and implementing testing efforts at the specified experience level
  
• Knowledge of structured methodologies for the development design implementation and maintenance of applications
  
• Knowledge and experience in the use of Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools and data query tools to aid in the development of test cases
  
• Knowledge and experience in the use of automated test tools and version control systems on one or more platforms
  
• Demonstrated experience executing functional tests nonfunctional tests and systems level integration tests
  
• Demonstrated experience supporting user acceptance testing and participating in UAT activities
  
• Demonstrated experience with quality assurance principles practices tools and structured methodologies
  
• Demonstrated experience creating testing strategy documentation test plans test cases and test data for various types and phases of testing including technical and business functional validation
  
• Demonstrated experience in quality assurance and testing including unit testing integration testing load testing performance testing etc.
  
• Knowledge and experience in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge and experience in at least one programming language

• Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards
  

Must Have

• 12 years of Salesforce Public Sector Foundation (License and Permit) testing
  
• Demonstrated experience with Salesforce DevOps Microsoft tools including Visio and Project and Miro boards
  
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the Ontario Digital Service Standard Ontario Service Design Playbook and the Digital First Assessment product delivery approach (PreDiscovery Discovery Alpha Beta Live)
  
• Knowledge and understanding of digital product development implementation and management
  
• Demonstrated experience in the development of test scripts and user stories
  
• Demonstrated experience testing prototypes and conducting usability testing
  
• Demonstrated experience conducting iterative analysis and testing
  
• Knowledge of usercentered design
  
• Demonstrated experience conducting UAT AODA and vulnerability testing
  
• Ability to lead and coordinate testing team
  

Knowledge Transfer Requirements:

• Knowledge transfer is expected to occur through the duration of the assignment through regular meetings touchpoints and working sessions with LRC staff
  
• All design development and artefacts including all relevant and complete documents must be transferred to the ministry in the designated repositories provided
  
• Dedicated knowledge transfer sessions will be scheduled during the closeout phase of the project to ensure completeness of knowledge transfer and all documentation is shared and allow LRC staff to ask clarification and/or follow up questions.

• 8 years experience in QA analysis (Manual Testing Skills)
  
• Experience developing Test Cases/Scripts and data requirements develop test scenarios test cases for manual testing
  
• Demonstrated experience conducting iterative testing in Salesforces
  
• Experience developing technical testing strategies/plans
  
• Experience executing testing activities for a number of types of testing such as:
  • Integrations testing
    
  • Unit testing
    
  • Regression testing
    
  • Functional testing
    
  • Accessibility testing
