About MEVCO:

MEVCO is a portfolio company of Resource Capital Funds (RCF) offering a global startup environment that aims to transform the operation of mining vehicles and contribute to the sustainability of the mining industry.


The Opportunity:

At MEVCO we seek a Light Vehicle Fitter (LV Fitter) to support building our fleet of Light Electric Vehicles in Normal Illinois. As a member of our vehicle production team we are looking for someone passionate about EVs and excited about the opportunity to be handson in a fastpaced innovative environment.


We are the exclusive distributor of Rivian electric vehicles globally in the mining sector. The integration of Rivians technology with MEVCOs proven track record in miningspecific electric vehicles will allow us to provide a fleet that exceeds the demands of the mining industry while delivering a solution to reduce carbon emissions and foster a safer and healthier environment for mining operations.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Customize electric vehicles according to client specifications.

  • Install and integrate aftermarket components into MEVCOs fleet of electric vehicles.

  • Fabricate custom parts or modify components to ensure proper fit and function.

  • Follow rigorous quality control processes to meet safety standards and regulations.

  • Conduct road tests to verify build quality and reliability.

  • Manage parts operations including ordering receiving shipping and inventory.

  • Develop and maintain operating procedures.

  • Accurately document the build and upfitting process.

  • Foster teamwork in a fastpaced environment dedicated to quality and reliability.

  • Be willing and ready to jump into other tasks and responsibilities as needed.




Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience with Rivian vehicles general upfit service and repairs.

  • Mining experience (highly preferred but not mandatory).

  • 3 years of experience in an automotive upfitter or service repair shop is preferred.

  • Valid driver s license with a clean record.

  • Experience with upfitting and assembling vehicles based on work orders.

  • Own tools required.


**This position is located onsite in Normal Illinois at our MEVCO North America Headquarters.

Negotiating skills with the ability to make informed decisions and initiate solutions. Ability to establish, develop and maintain close working relationships with peers, suppliers, and customers. Ability to ensure ethical behaviour in all dealings with suppliers.
