Job Description

This is a remote position.

The Opportunity

Experience: 01 year

Role: Internship


We are looking for a diligent and proactive US Sports Journalism Intern to join our College Sports team. As a Listener Executive you will be responsible for scouting monitoring and pitching engaging content ideas acting as the eyes and ears for our Assistant Content Managers.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Scout for the latest news on Twitter Instagram YouTube Reddit and other relevant platforms.

  • Monitor competition every hour to stay ahead with the latest updates.

  • Transcribe podcasts pitch angles interesting quotes and story lines.

  • Identify unique angles based on the offfield activities of players their families and partners including their social media activity.

  • Assist the Content Managers by pitching potential content angles and ensuring quality.



Requirements

  • Should have prior exposure to a US sport. particularly American football.

  • A time commitment of 7 hours per day preferably in the evening shift according to a USfirst timezone

  • Experience in writing or media preferably with a focus on sports content.

  • Strong research skills and the ability to find the latest scoops and trends.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills. Experience with Google Sheets is a plus

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficiency in social media platforms and familiarity with sports forums and communities.

  • Candidates who listen to podcasts and interviews daily.

  • Candidates who have done transcribing jobs previously will have an advantage.
