Food Safety Quality Assurance Manager

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the inhouse lab ensuring quality and food safety during mochi production.
• Supervise six lab technicians across three shifts ensuring proper training and proficiency.
• Conduct root cause investigations for food safety and quality issues implementing corrective actions.
• Manage environmental monitoring and schedule raw material testing for chemical composition and microbiological levels.
• Coordinate with thirdparty labs and ensure compliance with federal regulations and company quality standards.

Qualifications:

• 35 years of QA management experience in the food industry.
• 2nd shift: 1:30 PM 10:00 PM
• Laboratory experience and skills.
• PCQ HACCP certified and knowledge of GFSI/SQF standards.
• Minimum of a 2year college degree in food science chemistry qualitative analysis or microbiology preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with GMP allergen and sanitation compliance.
• Ability to conduct internal audits and implement corrective actions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint; Red Zone experience is a plus.
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
• Ability to work in a food production setting with various environmental conditions.
