By designing implementing and maintaining advanced SoftwareasaService (SaaS) solutions we are helping our Mobility customers transform their business and turn their asset data into valuable information.

Within Siemens Mobility Customer Services the DS (Data Services) team spearheads the digital transformation of our railway customers. Our Solution Architecture Office team conceives and drives tailored IT solutions based on our Railigent X portfolio of applications and cloud services to meet our customers needs.

About the role:

This is an exciting role with constant international exposure. The selected candidate will join a multicultural team of experts addressing the global market leading technical solution design for various customers around the globe in close cooperation with headquarter experts.

As a Solution Architect you will be responsible for developing solutions for datadriven services within our Railigent X platform (on AWS Cloud) for the railway industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and take ownership of solution architectures based on existing technical building blocks or detail projectspecific requirements derived from customer needs.
• Serve as the central point of contact for the customerspecific Railigent solution throughout the project from the proposal phase to project implementation.
• Support budgeting of designed Railigent solution during proposal phase.
• Coordinate with technical contacts during the development of the solution concept to ensure that the solutions are implemented in accordance with customer requirements.
• Continuously track the development status to ensure ontime and costeffective delivery of customer requirements in collaboration with the project manager and the technical product owner of the development team.
• Assess technical risks and changes to the project and evaluate them to take early actions to mitigate risks or capitalize on opportunities.
• Work within the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) in agile project value streams.

Your Qualifications Solid and Appropriate

• Ideally you have extensive experience as a Solution Architect for complex solutions with a focus on cloud and the integration of various IT systems
• A Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is preferred.
• Experience with datadriven services and competencies in IT solutions software solutions and communication technology.
• Proficiency in requirements management.
• Expertise in AWS Cloud technologies related services and applications (AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate nicetohave).
• Understanding of data structures data models and standard interfaces in the communication and IT sector.
• Knowledge of the service/transport/rail industry is advantageous.
• You have gathered intercultural experience in your career and possess fluent English speaking and writing skills. Additional language skills are a plus.
