Position: Health and Safety Officer

Our Client a leading company in Indiana USA is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Officer to join their team. This is a fulltime permanent position with competitive salary and benefits.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with local and federal regulations

Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace

Investigate accidents and incidents and provide recommendations for preventative measures

Train and educate employees on health and safety protocols and procedures

Maintain accurate records of all safety incidents and ensure compliance with reporting requirements

Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and conduct drills

Monitor and evaluate workplace conditions and recommend improvements to promote a safe and healthy work environment

Stay uptodate with industry best practices and regulations to ensure compliance

Conduct safety meetings and provide regular reports to management on safety performance

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety Environmental Science or related field

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a health and safety role preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting

Knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance requirements

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in highpressure situations

Attention to detail and strong analytical skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software

Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) is a plus
