AWS Cloud Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to join our IT team. This role is crucial for designing deploying and managing our cloud infrastructure ensuring it is secure scalable and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design implement and manage scalable secure and reliable cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Monitor troubleshoot and optimize the performance security and availability of cloud resources.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.
• Ensure compliance with security best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Manage cloudbased databases storage solutions and networking configurations.
• Provide guidance and support for cloud architecture deployment strategies and best practices.
• Stay uptodate with the latest AWS services features and best practices and implement them where appropriate.
• Participate in oncall rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical cloud infrastructure.
• Document processes procedures and system configurations thoroughly.

Qualifications:

• Proven 2 years of experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of AWS services including EC2 S3 RDS Lambda VPC CloudWatch and IAM.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python Bash or PowerShell.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins GitLab CI or AWS CodePipeline.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
• Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Developer or SysOps Administrator.
• Experience with multicloud environments (e.g. Azure Google Cloud Platform).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
