Job Role: HOD Food & Production

Job Description:
Seeking a highly experienced and dynamic individual to join our
team as the Head of Department (HOD) for Food Production. The ideal
candidate will have a good background in both the hospitality industry
and academics with previous experience as a HOD in a reputable
organization. The candidate should be a postgraduate with a deep
understanding of food production practical applications and modern
educational techniques. Additionally expertise in social media and blog
writing is essential.
General Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
oProvide visionary leadership to the Food Production
department.
oDevelop and implement strategic plans for the department
in line with institutional goals.
Curriculum Development:
oDesign and update the curriculum to ensure and it meets
industry standards and academic requirements.
oIncorporate the latest trends and technologies in food
production into the curriculum.
oEnsure a balanced approach between theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
oProvide guidance and support to ensure consistent
implementation across campuses.
oMonitor and assess the effectiveness of the content in
achieving learning outcomes.
Teaching and Training:
oConduct lectures and practical sessions for students.
oAssess and evaluate students' performance and progress.
oFoster a learning environment that encourages students'
creativity and innovation.
Industry Collaboration:
oBuild and maintain strong relationships with industry partners.
oOrganize guest lectures workshops and industry visits for
students.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
oPostgraduate degree in Hotel Management Culinary Arts
or a related field.
Experience:
oMinimum of 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
oMinimum of 5 years of teaching experience.
oPrior experience as a HOD in a reputable organization is
mandatory.
Skills:
oStrong leadership and management skills.
oExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.
oProficient in social media management and blog writing.
oIndepth knowledge of food production techniques and
practical applications.
oAbility to stay updated with industry trends and
