Electrical Engineer

Reporting to the Project Manager and Project Director the Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the following:

• Preparation of drawings specifications reports and other technical documents for electrical distribution protection controls and other auxiliary systems for dam and hydroelectric projects;
  
• Ensure design compliance with guidelines codes regulations and other reference documentation;
  
• Assist project managers in the technical planning control and coordination of projects;
  
• Work closely with technical teams to coordinate engineering work;
  
• Ensure quality assurance of deliverables;
  
• Evaluation of electrical/controls systems products and components;
  
• Report writing and equipment recommendation/selection;
  
• Incorporation of engineering changes into design;
  
• Other duties as assigned.
  

Requirements

• Postsecondary degree in Electrical Engineering;
  
• Registered member of EGBC is required;
  
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Construction industry;
  
• Experience in hydroelectricity and dams is considered an asset;
  
• Strong computer skills with various software experience including MS Office BlueBeam ACC etc.
  
• Bilingualism French and English would be considered an asset.
