Job Description

Adelphi is looking to recruit an Occupational Therapist for a Veterans Nursing Home in Columbia South Carolina. The OT will provide coverage in the long term care facility for an OTR that is on extended leave this fall.  Job Quick Facts:     ID: BD15401     Profession: Allied Health     Specialty: Occupational Therapist     Location: Columbia SC     Service Setting: Residential longterm care facility     Job Type: 6week Contract     Start Date: As soon as possible     Shift Schedule: 7:30am4:00pm 7.5 hours a day/37.5 hours a week     Pay Rate: $60$65 p/hr Requirements:      Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.     Licensed as an Occupational Therapist by the South Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy.     Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist preferably in a rehabilitation or longterm care setting.     Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles assessment techniques and evidencebased treatment approaches.     Proficiency in administering and interpreting standardized assessments to evaluate functional abilities and develop appropriate treatment plans. Responsibilities:     Provides occupational therapy services to patients in a state institution hospital or agency.     Caseload varies between skilled therapy and OT maintenance programs along with documentation and meetings.     78 day training before the OTR begins extended leave.     Knowledge of the principles and practices of treating injured ill or disabled consumers through the use of everyday activities.     Knowledge of principles and methods used to develop and implement individual treatment plans and the use of adaptive equipment designed to assist in selfhelp tasks.
