Cloud Architect - Chicago

Job Description:

One of our clients is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Architect to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing implementing and managing our cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with various departments to develop cloud solutions that support our business objectives and enhance our technology capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design deploy and maintain scalable secure and reliable cloud infrastructure.
  
• Develop and implement cloud strategies and solutions that align with business goals and objectives.
  
• Collaborate with development operations and security teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of cloud services.
  
• Conduct cloud readiness assessments and identify opportunities for cloud adoption and optimization.
  
• Ensure the security compliance and governance of cloud environments.
  
• Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on cloud best practices and technologies.
  
• Develop and maintain cloud documentation including architecture diagrams processes and procedures.
  
• Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies trends and best practices to ensure continuous improvement of our cloud infrastructure.
  
• Manage cloud service providers and vendors to ensure the delivery of highquality services.
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
  
• Over 5 years of proven experience as a Cloud Architect or in a similar role.
  
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
  
• Proficiency with cloud infrastructure provisioning and configuration management tools (e.g. Terraform Ansible).
  
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
  
• Understanding of networking security and monitoring best practices in cloud environments.
  
• Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect or Google Professional Cloud Architect are a plus.
