Position Overview:

As a NorwegianSpeaking Content Moderator you will play a crucial role in ensuring that online content adheres to the platforms community guidelines and standards. Working alongside a diverse team of moderators you will review and assess usergenerated content identifying and removing harmful or inappropriate material. Your keen eye for detail and strong linguistic skills will be instrumental in maintaining a positive and safe online community.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Content Review and Moderation:
   • Monitor and review usergenerated content including text images and videos to ensure compliance with community guidelines and standards.
   • Identify and remove content that violates policies such as hate speech harassment graphic violence nudity and other forms of inappropriate material.
   • Exercise sound judgment and sensitivity to cultural nuances while evaluating content.
2. Decision Making:
   • Make informed decisions on whether to remove or retain content based on established guidelines.
   • Escalate complex or ambiguous cases to senior moderators or supervisors for further review and resolution.
3. Collaboration and Communication:
   • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to share best practices and insights for effective content moderation.
   • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on platform policies and emerging trends in content moderation.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
   • Maintain accurate records of moderation actions and decisions.
   • Provide regular reports on content moderation activities and outcomes to management.
5. Staying Informed:
   • Stay current with platform policies community standards and trends in online content.
   • Continuously improve knowledge and skills through ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Language Proficiency:
  • Fluent in Norwegian (both written and spoken).
  • Proficient in English (minimum B2 level).
• Skills and Experience:
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fastpaced environment.
  • Excellent judgment and critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions independently and in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Comfortable working with potentially sensitive or disturbing content maintaining professionalism and emotional resilience.
  • Prior experience in content moderation social media management or a related field is advantageous but not required.
  • Techsavvy with the ability to quickly learn and navigate moderation tools and software.
