About the Role:

Were on the hunt for a dynamic Director of Electrical Engineering to join the hive on behalf of our clients. This role involves leading the Electrical Engineering Discipline supporting strategic business initiatives and providing designfocused thought leadership. Your Mission:

• Promote and engage the firms mission vision and goals through design leadership
• Establish and implement a design approach for the electrical engineering practice
• Provide design direction and support to ensure consistent highquality design firmwide
• Guide strategy for design presentations and supervise the design process
• Strengthen market reputation through thought leadership
• Collaborate with practice leadership to establish budgetary framework and investment strategies
• Engage design teams to implement policies and promote strategies supporting the firms mission
• Participate in practice scheduling resource allocation and identifying fiscally responsible budgets
• Foster an inclusive culture of respect and collaboration
• Lead employee recruitment retention activities and annual performance evaluations
• Actively mentor staff in their professional growth
• Participate in transforming client expectations into design solutions based on knowledge of electrical engineering construction methods integration of engineering disciplines building costs and codes
• Monitor design process of projects firmwide
• Participate in marketing strategies by guiding design narratives

What You Bring:

• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering from an accredited fouryear college or university
• 15 years of experience in Electrical Engineering Design
• Completion of PE Exam (Licensed in the state of Tennessee is preferred)
• Thorough knowledge of the Electrical Engineering Discipline with emphasis on understanding client expectations
• Experience as a lead designer on various project scales and complexities
• Experience with sustainable design and benchmarking
• Effective graphic verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problemsolving skills attention to detail and motivation to learn
• Collaborative and professional work ethic
• Understanding of basic electrical spatial and building code concepts
• Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD Revit (preferred) and Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with sustainable design and benchmarking
• Knowledge and use of Washington State Energy Code compliance
• Phone system (Mitel) & Microsoft Suite skills
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations and standards for design bidding and construction
• Skill in analyzing interpreting and preparing reports
• Skills in oral and written communication
• Skill in exercising professional engineering judgment to achieve results consistent with objectives

Additional Requirements:

• Must be a United States citizen or authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
