About the Role:

Were on the hunt for a dynamic Phlebotomist to join the hive on behalf of our clients. In this role youll prepare specimens for laboratory testing and perform screening standards ensuring quality blood samples while creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence. If youre passionate about patient care and have phlebotomy experience we want to meet you!

Your Mission:

• Perform blood draws label specimens centrifuge specimens record maintenance data and decontamination update patient information etc.
• Greet customers appropriately and treat all customers in a courteous manner.
• Collect specimens according to established procedures and explain the process clearly and courteously.
• Reduce patient anxiety by providing a calm environment for patients before during and after the collection process.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Fully understand all physicians orders.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes; label centrifuge split and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Check all test requisitions or computer labels against the script to ensure 100% accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and store them according to the required temperature.
• Demonstrate proficiency in proper collection methods and proper processing of all specimens.
• Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Attend annual department trainings.
• Answer telephone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required (CA LA NV and WA require certification).
• Minimum of 6 months work experience performing venipunctures in a fastpaced lab or hospital setting and 02 years of experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent patient interaction skills both in person and by phone.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be a United States citizen or authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
