Staff Accountant

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team. This position will play a key role on the North American Controllers team during an exciting period of high growth and process transformation. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a fastpaced extremely successful highenergy company. The role will report to our Senior Accounting Manager.

Here are the things we want to hire you to do:

• Month/Quarter end close: Preparing journal entries analyses and assisting with the monthly close processes.

• Reviewing general ledger accounts and preparing adjusting journal entries.

• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations by verifying accuracy of data and identifying and correcting errors.

• Responding to information requests reviewing general ledger accounts and assisting with audits.

• Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting policies & procedures and suggest improvements for accounting reporting procedures.

Here are the things we think you need:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting

• 12 years of experience in Big 4 public accounting or 2 years experience in private sector

• CPA or CPA track preferred

• Intermediate/advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables vlookup and other functions and formulas)

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Strong communication skills presence and interpersonal skills

• Able and willing to communicate effectively with various internal and external customers

• Familiarity of accounting principles and ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus)

• Accurate and timely data entry skills with strong attention to detail

• Must be a detail oriented selfstarter with the ability to work independently and within a team environment

The salary for this role will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to geographic location internal equity experience education specialty and training. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set level of experience and specific location. Compensation may also include bonus commission or equity as applicable. Our good faith estimate is $75000.
