Medical Director mwd

Join our renowned pharmaceutical client as a Medical Director (m/w/d) and contribute to groundbreaking projects in the vibrant city of Basel!

Tasks

• Develop and implement innovative integrated evidence strategies to support the value of the respective medicines
• Act as a thought leader in realworld evidence (RWE) and integrated evidence driving change within the organization
• Identify and address evidence needs to optimize regulatory approval patient access and clinical adoption of medicines. Deliver highquality rigorous evidence solutions in line with the corresponding priorities of the client
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure scientific rigor in evidence strategies and study designs. Lead partnerships with medical societies academic institutes and payer bodies to build research collaborations
• Contribute to enterprisewide and external initiatives that shape healthcare and business environments and work closely with key countries to develop robust evidence supporting product value and patient access
• Define goals identify opportunities and set best practice standards for evidence generation. Stay updated on emerging applications trends and insights to drive the development of innovative evidence approaches

Requirements

• Advanced degree or equivalent education/degree in life science/healthcare required. MBA or equivalent preferred
• 7 years industry and/or relevant experience acquired at biopharmaceutical companies academia healthcare provider / Payer / HTA or relevant consultancy companies
• Extensive industry experience generating evidence for assets across different stages of drug development. Strong expertise in RWD/RWE and/or observational research and integrated evidence strategies
• Prior leadership experience with international multidisciplinary drug development product teams or country organizations (US preferred)
• Deep understanding of pharmaceutical value chain and its business processes. Understanding of product and disease area strategies and the healthcare environment
• Strong external presence and connectivity including an active network in RWE
• Ability to ask critical scientific questions and provide fitforpurpose data solutions. Track record of delivering highquality impactful evidence solutions
• Experience in partnering with external stakeholders including medical societies and academic institutes
• Strategic thinker with the ability to prioritize and align funding and resources. Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on innovation and reimagining evidence use
