Job Description

HM Note: This onsite role is five (5) days in office with twelve (12) hour shifts and holidays and weekends

Description:

Deliverable: and nbsp;Systems and nbsp;Deployment and nbsp;Operations and nbsp;and and nbsp;Management.

Responsibilities:
  • End to End monitoring of OPS Services and underlying infrastructure like mainframes UNIX Windows servers storage and network devices 24/7/365 to ensure these are available as per defined SLAs by taking prompt necessary actions or escalating to Tier2/3 or vendors as needed. These services include critical essential time sensitive public facing applications websites systems subsystems which are hosted in OPS Guelph Kingston and regional data centres.
  • Responding and nbsp;to and nbsp;high and nbsp;priority and nbsp;requests and nbsp;and and nbsp;Incidents.
  • Participate and nbsp;in and nbsp;system and nbsp;recovery and nbsp;and and nbsp;service and nbsp;restoration and nbsp;efforts and nbsp;and and nbsp;meetings.
  • Provide and nbsp;Operational and nbsp;system and nbsp;updates/upgrades and nbsp;apply and nbsp;patches and nbsp;and and nbsp;address and nbsp;issues and nbsp;involved and nbsp;during and nbsp;these and nbsp;tasks.
  • Initiating and nbsp;established and nbsp;recovery and nbsp;and and nbsp;or and nbsp;escalation and nbsp;procedures.
  • Implementing and nbsp;Change and nbsp;requests and nbsp;for and nbsp;mainframe and nbsp;midrange and nbsp;and and nbsp;network and nbsp;Platforms.
  • Ensuring and nbsp;Service and nbsp;level and nbsp;commitments and nbsp;to and nbsp;ITS and nbsp;clients and nbsp;and and nbsp;stakeholders and nbsp;and and nbsp;broader and nbsp;public and nbsp;sector and nbsp;agencies and nbsp;are and nbsp;met.
  • Participating and nbsp;in and nbsp;developing and nbsp;and and nbsp;delivering and nbsp;related and nbsp;training and nbsp;communications and nbsp;and and nbsp;procedural and nbsp;documentation.
  • Participates and nbsp;in and nbsp;departmental and nbsp;initiatives and nbsp;such and nbsp;as and nbsp;Shift and nbsp;left and nbsp;and and nbsp;Agile and nbsp;monitoring.
