Safety and Health Advisor

Job Description

As the Safety and Health Advisor you will be responsible for driving a contemporary safety health and risk management culture across a worldclass food manufacturer in Woodland CA. Partnering proactively with supervisors managers and employees you'll implement objectives process improvements and compliance strategies to meet legal requirements and Global HSE standards.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with HSE regulatory requirements and support site leadership in managing legislative changes.
• Provide expert guidance in hazard identification risk assessment and safety controls.
• Develop and implement sitespecific HSE processes and systems aligned with organizational standards.
• Collaborate with Global Safety to align procedures and training initiatives.
• Oversee the implementation of Global Safety Systems and international certifications.
• Support operational teams in enhancing safety culture and performance through coaching and leadership activities.
• Lead investigations into incidents and ensure timely completion of corrective actions.
• Facilitate safety audits risk assessments and monitoring activities to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree or certification in occupational health and safety or risk management and Cal/OSHA 30hour training is preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal and written) is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in health and safety preferably in manufacturing or agricultural processing.
• Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and ISO 45001 standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work with and influence a diverse team at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong problemsolving skills.
