Senior Linux Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Linux Administrator with a minimum of 10 years of experience to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and handson experience with Linux systems and endpoint management. This role involves managing maintaining and securing our Linux infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

**Key Responsibilities:**

**Linux System Administration:**

Install configure and maintain Linux servers and systems.

Monitor system performance and ensure system availability and reliability.

Perform regular system updates patches and security configurations.

Manage and troubleshoot serverrelated issues ensuring minimal downtime.

**Endpoint Management:**

Implement and manage endpoint security solutions.

Configure and maintain endpoint devices ensuring they meet security standards and policies.

Perform endpoint troubleshooting and resolve technical issues efficiently.

**Automation and Scripting:**

Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline system administration tasks.

Utilize scripting languages (e.g. Bash Python) to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.

**Security and Compliance:**

Ensure systems comply with organizational security policies and industry regulations.

Implement security best practices and perform regular security audits.

Respond to security incidents and provide remediation solutions.

**Backup and Recovery:**

Implement and manage backup solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.

Develop and test disaster recovery plans to minimize data loss and downtime.

**Collaboration and Support:**

Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to support various projects and initiatives.

Provide technical support and guidance to junior administrators and other IT staff.

Assist with the planning and implementation of new technologies and system upgrades.

**Qualifications:**

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field or equivalent work experience.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in Linux system administration.

Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g. Red Hat Ubuntu CentOS).

Proven experience with endpoint management and security solutions.

Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash Python or Perl.

Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible Puppet Chef).

Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware KVM).

Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.

Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Relevant certifications (e.g. RHCE CompTIA Linux LPIC) are a plus.
