Senior Quality Engineer - AutomotiveManufacturing

• Maintain quality standards (IATF 16949:2016 ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 14001).
  
• Contribute to and improve on the operation of the Quality Assurance system and manage and implement the Quality Assurance system.
  
• Review Quality Risks of APQP activities
  
• Prepare Production Part Approval Process (PPAP and MLA).
  
• Ensure that the procedures and processes prescribed by the Quality management system are in place and implemented
  
• Develop an updated Continuous Improvement Plan.
  
• Plan coordinate and Conduct Internal Quality Management System Audits per schedule.
  
• Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as SixSigma PokaYoke (Error Proofing) and Measurement System Analysis.
  
• Participate in crossfunctional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products in meeting customer requirements.
  
• Manage and coordinate customer PPM (Parts per Million) supplier PPM supplier problem solving on time cost recovery and supplier warranty indicators.
  
• Produce written reports and make presentations.
  
• Undertake continuous training and development.
  
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
  
• Independently determine approach and assigned tasks.
  

• Lead and/or support quality inspectors.
  
• Provide guidance to other team members.
  
• Train both team and broader organization members.
  

Requirements

• Grade 12 Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering / Quality
  
• Minimum 5 years management in the Automotive Industry (1st Tier supplier Experience Essential)
  
• Project management experience as it applies to the Quality discipline
  
• Trained Auditor ISO 9001;2015; IATF 16949:2016 &
  
• VDA 6.3:2016 would be an added advantage.
  
• Extensive working experience in APQP; PPAP;MLAMSA; Control Plans; PFMEA (Core Tools).
  
• Advanced Computer skills.
