Job Description
Based in Whitstable TPF Recruitment Kents leading accountancy practice recruitment agency is working on behalf of a great local firm of Chartered Accountants who are looking for an Accounts Assistant/ Semi Senior Accountant to join their team in a general practice position across accounts tax bookkeeping and VAT. Our client is a multisited firm of chartered accountants and they have been established in the Kent market for many years. Theyre looking for an Accounts Assistant/ Semi Senior or somebody who is studying the AAT or ACCA to join them in a progressive and rewarding career. Given the nature of the business there are very good internal progression prospects on offer too.
You will be responsible for:
- Preparation of statutory accounts to review stage
- Assisting with management accounts production
- Personal taxation corporate taxation and VAT returns
- General bookkeeping duties using Sage Xero or QuickBooks
- Coaching and mentoring junior staff members and trainees
Requirements
- You will have 15 years experience within an accountancy practice
- You will be studying AAT / ACCA or be qualified by experience
- You will have hands on experience of accounts tax and VAT preparation

You will be ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience with at least 3 years experience within practice. You will have worked as Semi Senir or Senior accountant within practice Experience of Iris and cloud software such as Xero/ Quickbooks would be advantageous
