Data Engineer Remote

This is a remote position.

• Data Pipeline Management: Implement and maintain data pipelines between various operational systems and our data warehouse using Python Airbyte Prefect and integration platforms.
  
• SQL and Data Warehousing: Utilize expertise in SQL and cloudbased analytical data warehouses to manage and query data efficiently.
  
• ETL/ELT Best Practices: Apply deep understanding of ETL and ELT patterns and best practices to design and optimize data workflows.
  
• Python Programming: Write Python code for data processing tasks and automation.
  
• Automation: Build and maintain data pipelines and automate existing manual processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  
• Data Integration: Collaborate with other teams to identify new data sources estimate the feasibility of acquiring specific data sources and integrate them into the data infrastructure.
  
• Data Visualization: Build data reports using data visualization tools such as Metabase Tableau Power BI etc.
  
• API Development: Develop APIs to provide access to data sources and facilitate data integration.
  
• Internal Tools Development: Build internal tools for data entry to gather data from internal sources.
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Statistics or a related field
  
• Relevant professional experience
  
• Proficiency in Python SQL and other programming or scripting languages
  
• Experience with Javascript React
  
• Experience with git and use of the command line required
  
• Experience with AWS and CloudFormation or comparable cloud services and IaC tools preferred
  
• Experience with Docker and Docker Compos
  
• Willing to work as an Independent Contractor
