Head of Data Strategy and Technical Architecture

The Head of Data Strategy and Architecture will be responsible for defining and executing the company s data strategy. This role will oversee the design development management and implementation of our internal data architecture approach for our data strategy and offerings all in alignment with business goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management data architecture and data governance.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business objectives
  
• Lead the data architecture function ensuring the data infrastructure supports current and future needs
  
• Create a comprehensive and commercially attractive plan to market and monetize our dataset and data solutions
  
• Work with leadership Product Management Marketing and Sales to drive this strategy and achieve commercial success
  
• Act as Data SME and public spokesperson for our clients and industry contacts
  

Data Architecture:

• Design and oversee the implementation of data architecture solutions including data models data storage and data integration processes
  
• Ensure data architecture is scalable secure and meets compliance requirements
  
• Manage the data architecture team and firmwide data governance approach
  

Technical Architecture:

• Create and maintain the framework for technological systems ensuring scalability and compliance with corporate standards.
  
• Oversee the implementation of technology programs working closely with software development teams to ensure smooth system functioning.
  
• Establish domainspecific standards and roadmaps aligned with enterprise standards and overall strategy.
  
• Act as a strategic technology lead driving architecture strategy and advising business teams about major IT projects.
  

Governance:

• Establish and maintain data governance frameworks and policies.
  
• Establish and maintain software development standards and policies.
  
• Ensure data quality integrity and security across all data sources and systems.
  

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with business leaders IT teams and other stakeholders to identify data needs and opportunities
  
• Communicate data strategy and architecture vision clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences.
  
• The role will bridge the gap between management and technical teams ensuring effective IT solutions and alignment with organizational goals.
  

Team Management:

• Build and lead a highperforming data strategy and architecture team
  
• Provide mentorship and development opportunities for team members
  

Skills:

• Strong understanding of data architecture principles large data models data analysis and leading data technologies and applications
  
• Ability to understand and conceptualize commercial opportunities around our data capabilities and availability
  
• Proficiency in data modeling database design and data integration techniques.
  
• Excellent leadership communication and project management skills.
  
• Knowledge of leading and relevant data technologies and tools such as SQL NoSQL databases ETL processes AI Cloud and data warehousing solutions.
  
• Certifications (optional but preferred)
  
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) TOGAF or similar.
  

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.
  

Experience:

• 10 years of experience in data management data architecture and data governance.
  
• Proven experience in leading data strategy initiatives and managing data architecture teams.
