Job Description

Job Title: Social Media Assistant

Location: New Orleans LA

Job Type: Fulltime

Reports To: Social Media Manager

Job Overview: The Social Media Assistant will support the Social Media Manager in executing our social media strategy creating engaging content monitoring social media channels and analyzing performance metrics. The ideal candidate is passionate about social media stays uptodate with the latest trends and has a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Community Management:

    • Monitor and respond to comments messages and mentions across social media platforms in a timely and professional manner.
    • Engage with followers and build relationships to foster a strong online community.
    • Identify and address any customer service issues reported on social media.
  2. Social Media Monitoring:

    • Track and analyze social media performance metrics using analytics tools.
    • Prepare regular reports on social media activity growth and engagement.
    • Identify trends and insights to optimize content and strategy.
  3. Campaign Support:

    • Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns and promotions.
    • Coordinate with influencers and partners for collaborations.
    • Ensure all campaigns are delivered on time and meet the desired objectives.
  4. Research and Trends:

    • Stay informed about emerging social media trends tools and best practices.
    • Conduct competitive analysis and provide recommendations for improvement.
    • Experiment with new features and formats on social media platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms algorithms and best practices.
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g. Canva Adobe Creative Suite) and social media management tools (e.g. Hootsuite Buffer).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinking and ability to generate engaging content ideas.
  • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
