Job Description

  • Contract period for 12 months with further extension for 12 Months
  • Number of Extension: 2
  • Location: ACT
  • Security: Must have Negative Vetting Level 1
  • Working arrangements: Successful candidate will be available to perform the services on a fulltime basis up to a maximum of (1920) billable hours / annum which is based on an allowance of 240 working days x 8 hours / day over the initial 12month engagement period. DFAT s preference is for the services to be provided onsite at DFAT s office location (51 Allara Street Canberra). Flexible working arrangements may be considered on a casebycase basis (i.e. 3 days in office and 2 days from home). Interstate / remote based candidates will not be considered for this role.




About the Role:

SoftLabs is seeking Business Analyst for ICT Labour hire at their technology consulting based in ACT.





Requirements:

The Business Solutions Branch within DFAT s Information Management and Technology Division has a requirement for a labourhire resource to fill the role of Business Analyst to scope out the work for the uplift of a key CRM application to the cloud.

BA candidates must have a proven record of accomplishment in the analysis and design of successful business outcomes and strong client engagement. They will develop the departments understanding of Agile by creating user stories engaging with business units facilitating workshops and guiding teams using Agile methodology. They should be able to undertake benefits analysis and realisation planning and measurement in addition to broader cost modelling exercises. Candidates must be innovative thinkers thrive in an environment of rapid change continuous improvement and be passionate about delivering real business benefits.





Mandatory Criteria

  • Must hold a minimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance.
  • Minimum 5 years business analysis experience in software delivery projects is required.
  • Drive and managing business engagement with a focus on ICT systems and departmental reform. Experience working in complex ICT environments dealing with various software solutions including bespoke offtheshelf and cloud technology.
  • Produce standard analysis artefacts such as asis / tobe business process maps user stories high level requirements functional and non functional requirements cost benefit analysis and benefits realisation plans.
  • Multitask and be familiar with a number of different intersecting projects and their respective ICT systems business processes and broader departmental and whole of government requirements while working with a cross section of business line areas.
  • Experience with agile application development teams experience working in agile software such as DevOps.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or part of a team and achieve successful outcomes for the division.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
