Position Overview: We are seeking a detailoriented and experienced Senior Medical Billing Specialist to join our team remotely. The successful candidate will be responsible for submitting invoices managing accounts receivable (A/R) and accounts payable (A/P) and overseeing collections. This role is crucial in ensuring the financial health and efficiency of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Billing and Invoicing:
  

  • Prepare and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies and patients.
    
  • Review and verify billing data in compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
    
  • Correct and resubmit claims as necessary.
    

• Accounts Receivable (A/R):
  

  • Monitor and track outstanding accounts receivable.
    
  • Follow up on unpaid claims and patient balances.
    
  • Generate and send out invoices and statements.
    

• Accounts Payable (A/P):
  

  • Manage and process accounts payable transactions.
    
  • Verify and reconcile invoices and payments.
    
  • Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and maintain accurate records.
    

• Collections:
  

  • Implement and manage collections processes for overdue accounts.
    
  • Communicate with patients and insurance companies to resolve billing issues.
    
  • Negotiate payment plans and settlements when necessary.
    

• Financial Reporting:
  

  • Prepare regular financial reports on billing A/R A/P and collections.
    
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    
  • Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
    

• Compliance:
  

  • Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements.
    
  • Ensure all billing practices adhere to legal and ethical standards.
    
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    

• Customer Service:
  

  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and clients regarding billing inquiries.
    
  • Address and resolve any billing discrepancies or disputes.
    
  • Educate patients on their billing and insurance coverage.
    

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a medical biller or in a similar role.
  
• Strong knowledge of medical billing and coding procedures.
  
• Proficiency in medical billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  
• Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills.
  
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  
• Ability to work independently and remotely.
  
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  
• Certification in Medical Billing and Coding is preferred.
  
• Associate or Bachelor s degree in Accounting Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
