We are seeking a dedicated and detailoriented Herbicide Spray Technician/Chemical Applicator to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for applying various chemicals to lawns gardens and landscapes to promote plant health control weeds and prevent pests and diseases. Start time for this position is 6:30am and you will get an average of 50 hours a week. Job duties include
- Apply fertilizers herbicides insecticides fungicides and antidesiccants to lawns gardens and landscapes.
- Operate and maintain spray equipment including trucks with tanks and reels backpack sprayers and Z spray standbehind sprayers.
- Conduct regular inspections of landscapes to identify issues and determine appropriate chemical treatments.
- Mix and prepare chemical solutions according to safety guidelines and application requirements.
- Ensure all applications are done in accordance with local state and federal regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of chemical applications and treatments.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding treatment plans and schedules.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Must have experience and/or be licensed
- Must be able to follow direction/instructor of crew lead. Must also be able to self manage and oversee the completion of work as directed by crew lead/supervisor.
- Must be able to fill out paperwork daily for work performed.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with supervisors regarding scheduling and status updates of jobs/projects.
- Must be able to work in a safe manner abiding by the safety standards of our company and those of our customers.
- Must be able to pass MVR drug and background screening.
- Must have reliable transportation and be on time.
- Some out of town work is required Per Diem will be paid for any out of town work.
