Job Description

Crown City Resort a leading hospitality destination in Agbara Nigeria is seeking an experienced and dynamic Finance Manager to oversee and manage the financial operations of our resort. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance exceptional analytical skills and the ability to lead a team. This is a fully onsite position with accommodation benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management: Oversee daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable/receivable general ledger payroll and financial reporting. Ensure accurate and timely monthly reports quarterly review and yearend financial close processes.

2. Compliance: Ensure compliance with GAAP local accounting standards and other regulatory requirements. Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and standards in Nigeria.

3. Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements reports and analyses. Ensure compliance with GAAP local accounting standards and company policies.

4. Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operations. Optimize cash management strategies and investment activities.

5. Cost Management: Implement cost control measures and monitor expenditures. Conduct financial reviews and identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

6. Internal Controls: Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.

7. Budgeting & Forecasting: Preparation managing budget and forecast processes. Provide financial analysis to support business strategies and operations. Assist in financial planning and strategic initiatives.

8. Auditing: Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies. Prepare for and manage internal and external audits.

9. Payroll and Benefits Management: Oversee payroll processing and employee benefits administration ensuring timely and accurate payment of salaries and wages. Manage employee deductions benefits and statutory contributions (e.g. taxes pension NHF NSITF).

10. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor accounting staff. Provide training performance evaluations and professional development opportunities.

11. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives.

12. Job Costing: Ensuring standard costs are maintained to arrive at the optimum profit maximization: input cost production cost and price adjustment.

13. Supply Chain Standard: Establishing the best supply chain standard which is suitable to the organization as a whole. Ensure the procedures are carried out for effective management decision making.

14. Vendor & Contract Management: Oversee financial aspects of vendor contracts including negotiation payment terms and compliance with contractual obligations.

Above all ensure standard operating procedures (SOP) established and complied with

in all areas of operation.

Requirements


Qualifications: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) designation is mandatory.

Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field; ICANCFA preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Experience in the hospitality or resort industry is an added advantage.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of Nigerian financial regulations tax laws and local accounting standards.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel.

Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.

Leadership: Strong leadership and team management abilities. Ability to mentor and develop staff.

Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to convey complex financial information to nonfinancial managers.

Integrity: High level of integrity and professionalism.

Adaptability: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment. Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
