About the Role:

We were on the hunt for a Technical Lead Data Engineer to join the hive on behalf of our client. In this pivotal role youll spearhead the design development and implementation of data solutions that empower organizations to derive actionable insights from complex datasets. If you thrive in data engineering have a strong background in SQL Python and cloud technologies like Azure and enjoy leading teams we want to meet you!

Your Mission:

• Lead the design and implementation of data loading and aggregation frameworks across the organization.
• Gather and process raw structured semistructured and unstructured data using batch and realtime processing frameworks.
• Implement and optimize data solutions in enterprise data warehouses and big data repositories focusing on cloud migration (specifically Azure).
• Drive new capabilities to enhance our Enterprise Data Platform collaborating closely with product engineering and business teams.
• Construct robust data pipelines using Python Spark and SQL for efficient data processing and analysis.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate build test and deployment processes.
• Design and optimize data schemas using data modeling techniques to ensure integrity and performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for performance reliability and scalability of data infrastructure.
• Collaborate with data scientists analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Implement best practices for data governance security and compliance.

What You Bring:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
• 8 years of experience in data engineering with expertise in data pipelines ETL processes and data warehouses.
• Strong proficiency in SQL Python and Spark programming languages.
• Handson experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP.
• Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop Spark Kafka and distributed computing frameworks.
• Knowledge of data lake and data warehouse solutions such as Databricks Snowflake and Azure Data Factory.
• Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines for data solutions.
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts data warehousing architectures and best practices.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Relevant certifications (e.g. Azure Databricks Snowflake) would be a plus.
