Description
The Strategic Accounts Manager Genset is responsible for sales to strategic Customer accounts whose businesses concentrate in the Genset market.
Reports to: Vice President of Sales
Essential Responsibilities
- Coordinate activities within the assigned market segment to achieve defined sales goals and promote profitable growth of company products/services.
- Collaborate with Baslers internal application support and engineering teams as necessary.
- Maintain relationships with key accounts in the designated market segment.
- Lead the development of strategies for customers and projects within the market segments.
- Finalize negotiations of purchase agreements and terms within the assigned market segment.
- Address commercial issues related to projects within authorized limits.
- Provide sales forecasts and budgets and contribute to market potential assessments.
- Support Marketing by evaluating potential new products for the assigned market segment.
- Attend and support trade organization functions as needed.
- Record all leads opportunities contacts and trip reports in the CRM system.
- Provide guidance and training to direct sales personnel and independent manufacturers representatives on Basler products selling techniques account strategies and negotiation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum five (5) years of sales management experience.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience with products and customers in the genset market.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
- A bachelors degree in business management or a technical field is preferred.
- Knowledge of the electrical power industry is advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM programs.
