Job Description

Job Title: Strategic Accounts Manager Genset

Job Location: Highland IL(Remote 40% travel)

Job Type: FullTime

Description

The Strategic Accounts Manager Genset is responsible for sales to strategic Customer accounts whose businesses concentrate in the Genset market.

Reports to: Vice President of Sales

Essential Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities within the assigned market segment to achieve defined sales goals and promote profitable growth of company products/services.
  • Collaborate with Baslers internal application support and engineering teams as necessary.
  • Maintain relationships with key accounts in the designated market segment.
  • Lead the development of strategies for customers and projects within the market segments.
  • Finalize negotiations of purchase agreements and terms within the assigned market segment.
  • Address commercial issues related to projects within authorized limits.
  • Provide sales forecasts and budgets and contribute to market potential assessments.
  • Support Marketing by evaluating potential new products for the assigned market segment.
  • Attend and support trade organization functions as needed.
  • Record all leads opportunities contacts and trip reports in the CRM system.
  • Provide guidance and training to direct sales personnel and independent manufacturers representatives on Basler products selling techniques account strategies and negotiation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years of sales management experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience with products and customers in the genset market.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
  • A bachelors degree in business management or a technical field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the electrical power industry is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM programs.
