Part-time Medical Biller - Virtual Assistant

This is a remote position.

Virtual Rockstar is seeking a detailoriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our client s Physical Therapy practice in Colorado on a parttime basis. This remote position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team passionate about patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the endtoend billing process for our client s physical therapy practice.
  

• Transfer patient information and schedules from CRM to EMR systems.
  

• Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary preauthorizations.
  

• Communicate with insurance providers to clarify coverage details and resolve issues.
  

• Document and track payments and update patient files with insurance information.
  

• Explain insurance benefits to patients and assist with insurancerelated queries.
  

• Process and submit claims to insurance companies promptly and accurately.
  

• Follow up on unpaid claims and appeal denied claims as necessary.
  

• Post payments to patient accounts and resolve any billing discrepancies.
  

• Ensure compliance with all coding and billing regulations.
  

• Generate billing reports for management review.
  

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Medical Biller in a healthcare setting preferably in physical therapy.
  

• Proficiency with Hellonote EMR Go High Level and Inovalon software preferred.
  

• Strong understanding of medical billing practices including CPT and ICD coding.
  

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain insurance benefits clearly.
  

• Detailoriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  

• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment.
