Job Description

Overview: The Plant Manager oversees all aspects of the manufacturing operations within the assigned plant. This includes ensuring production efficiency quality standards safety protocols and adherence to company policies and procedures. The Plant Manager is responsible for leading and motivating a team of employees to achieve production targets while maintaining a positive work environment.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

Production Management:

  • Plan organize and oversee daily production activities to meet production targets and customer demand.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency quality and adherence to safety standards.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and reduce costs.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and motivate a team of employees including supervisors operators and technicians.
  • Provide guidance training and performance feedback to ensure employee development and engagement.
  • Foster a positive work culture that emphasizes teamwork safety and quality.

Quality Assurance:

  • Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure products meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate and address any quality issues or production discrepancies promptly.
  • Work closely with quality assurance teams to implement corrective actions and preventive measures.

Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Promote a safetyconscious culture among employees through training and awareness programs.

Budget and Cost Management:

  • Develop and manage the plant budget including expenses related to labor materials and equipment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and reduce waste in manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor financial performance metrics and implement costsaving initiatives as needed.

Supply Chain Coordination:

  • Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
  • Manage inventory levels to support production schedules and minimize stockouts or excess inventory.

Communication and Reporting:

  • Communicate regularly with senior management to provide updates on production performance challenges and opportunities.
  • Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators production metrics and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering business administration or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role preferably in the packaging industry.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes quality control and safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data identify trends and make datadriven decisions.
