Job Overview:

The Project Engineer will play a critical role in the planning execution and closing of engineering and construction projects in Jazan. The engineer will ensure projects are completed on time within budget and to the highest quality standards. The role requires strong leadership technical expertise and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development of detailed project plans schedules and budgets.
• Participate in feasibility studies costbenefit analyses and risk assessments.
• Define project scope goals and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Oversee the engineering and construction activities ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
• Coordinate with contractors suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project flow.
• Monitor project progress and adjust as necessary to ensure successful completion.
• Provide technical expertise and support during all project phases.
• Review and approve engineering and construction drawings specifications and other documents.
• Ensure that engineering solutions are practical feasible and costeffective.
• Implement and manage quality assurance and quality control procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to project specifications and standards.
• Address and resolve any issues related to quality and compliance.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation including status reports progress updates and technical records.
• Communicate project status risks and issues to the Project Manager and stakeholders.
• Ensure all project documents are filed and maintained systematically.
• Work closely with the project team including architects designers engineers and construction workers.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members.
• Provide guidance mentorship and support to junior engineers and staff.
• Promote and enforce strict adherence to HSE policies and regulations.
• Conduct safety meetings and ensure that all safety protocols are followed onsite.
• Investigate and report any accidents incidents or nearmisses.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education:
  • Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering preferably in largescale construction projects.
  • Proven experience in managing engineering projects from conception to completion.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g. MS Project Primavera).
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles construction methodologies and project management techniques.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes standards and regulations in the construction industry.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problemsolving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Effective team player with a collaborative approach to project delivery.

Working Conditions:

• Primarily based onsite at the Jazan project location.
• May require working extended hours including weekends to meet project deadlines.
• Frequent interaction with contractors suppliers and other stakeholders.
