Job Description:

Job Title : Cisco Network Security Engineer (LAN/WLAN)

Job Type : C2C / W2 / 1099

Experience : 5 to 15 years

Location : Wichita Kansas

Responsibilities:

• Work with various Textron Business Units to deliver and support network services.
• Monitor configure architect and troubleshoot all internally managed LAN networks.
• Physically install network hardware and necessary cabling.
• Guide and train junior team members on switches routers WLAN and AAA services.
• Create and maintain network drawings and documentation.
• Improve processes for Textrons global voice and data network communication systems.
• Approve new and changed network architectures for the enterprise and Textron business units.
• Collaborate with ICOE service delivery managers and BU leaders to align with Textron network strategy.
• Provide subject matter expertise on data network communications.
• Provide oncall support and monitoring of the enterprise network on a rotation.
• Develop technology upgrade plans for network hardware and software.

Education/Experience:

• Associate degree in an ITrelated field required; bachelors degree preferred or 10 years of IT network engineering experience.
• Minimum 6 years experience in IT; 10 years experience preferred.
• Experience in voice and data network communication operations preferred.
• Cisco hardware/software deployment and management experience required.
• CCNA certification required; CCNP CCIE preferred.
• Experience with enterprise and distributed data center LAN/WAN architectures preferred.
• Cisco Wireless Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and Cisco ASA experience preferred.
• Experience with global MPLS WAN implementations preferred.
• Palo Alto Firewall experience required; Palo Alto Panorama and Prisma experience preferred.
• Understanding of outsourced services delivery model preferred.
• VoIP technologies experience preferred.
• Experience in new computing architectures and networked computing structures preferred.
• Understanding and working knowledge of SDWAN technology and deployment preferred.
• VeloCloud experience preferred.

Skills/Competencies:

• Experience with multisite Local Area Network/WLAN management.
• Strong understanding of network security and firewall management applications.
• Knowledge of voice and data network communication systems and their interactions with other IT systems.
• Ability to plan operations requirements one to three years in advance.
• Experience in creating and defining new operations models and procedures.
• Ability to build effective partnerships with thirdparty service suppliers.
• Adaptability to rapidly changing technology and dynamic business needs.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to present technical information effectively.
• Understanding of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes and certifications desired.
• Openness to future career development within Textron business unit locations.

Qualification:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
