About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Control Management Specialist to join our team on a contract basis supporting a large financial institution. This role is ideal for an expert with significant experience in risk and control management within the financial services sector. As part of our dynamic consulting firm you will engage in critical projects including regulatory issue validation and live reviews while contributing to various other initiatives as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Risk and Control Management.
- Design and implement Risk Governance Frameworks and Risk & Control Transformations.
- Develop and manage Enterprise Risk Management Programs and Board Management Oversight.
- Focus areas may include stress testing Wholesale Credit Risk (WCR) Risk Appetite Risk Identification Risk and Control SelfAssessment (RSCA/MCA) and Monitoring/Reporting/Escalation.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of Internal Audit (IA) regulatory issue validation work for a large financial institution.
- Collaborate on regulatory MRA validations and Consent Orders.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on extensive financial services industry experience.
- Assist in other consulting projects as required by the firm.
Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge and expertise in Risk and Control Management.
- Demonstrated experience in Risk Governance Frameworks and Risk & Control Transformations.
- Strong background in financial services is a musthave specifically in regulatory MRA validations and Consent Orders.
- Proven track record in developing and managing Enterprise Risk Management Programs and Board Management Oversight.
- Ability to work independently and remotely with preference given to candidates based in Irving TX; Charlotte NC; Mississauga ON; or Tampa FL.
- Excellent analytical communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CRISC CERP CISA).
